About This Blog

The purpose of this blog is to examine the joys, difficulties, and lessons learned from farm life. My
husband and I began on this journey by helping his grandparents with their farming operation, Windset Ranch. We also started our own farm in 2007, Cedar Creek Farm, which began with a few goats and a lot of dreams.

We aspire to create as elegant a farm as possible. By elegant I mean simple, beautiful, and natural - not fancy, overly technological, or expensive. We want to grow delicious food while nourishing our land and our spirits. What could be more elegant than that?

This blog includes stories of our family, the food we enjoy (because what are we farming for if not to enjoy delicious food?), and the writing that grows from the rich soil of our life together.
