A Poem: The Summer The Chuck-Will's-Widow Didn't Come Back

I am so grateful for the collaboration that turned one of my poems into a work of art. John Vincent at A Revolutionary Press took this poem into his care and printed it beautifully. He partnered with artist Kristen Johnson to create a linoleum block print inspired by some photographs I sent him, and printed this as a 6" x 11" piece. They are available for purchase at The Vermont Bookshop in Middlebury, VT, with all proceeds going to a worthy non-profit.

I wrote about this subject matter on this blog last year. You can find that post, called Silent Summer, here to read the essay version of my thoughts on the disappearance of the Chuck-Will's-Widow.
