Day Fifty (Fifty!!): Ten Things I'm Grateful For
Things I am grateful for today:
- Daisy smiling at me when I rubbed her belly first thing in the morning.
- My mother-in-law, who bought the kids Season 1 of Peppa Pig.
- Jeremy installing frost-free hose spigot right by my garden! (No more crawling under the house to turn on the hose!)
- Spiderwort (Tradescantia ohioensis) and Tickseed flowers (Coreopsis lanceolata) blooming.
- Going for a walk with William and Daisy.
- How much our laying hens have grown since we got them.
- Writing two first drafts of poems.
- Dance party in the kitchen with the kids to U2's Rattle and Hum.
- First salad from our garden with dinner with a hilariously sad radish harvest.
- Running outside right before bed to see the yellow light on the roses, and the beautiful sky.
Enough for salad for me and Jeremy. The kids don't like arugula anyway.
Yep, that's all I got! Smallest radish harvest ever.
The picture doesn't capture the late day yellow light. But, still beautiful!
Cool clouds before the storm arrived, thankfully without hail or tornadoes.
